Does the scanner work after connecting it to parallel port?
Action:
1) Turn the computer off.
2) Locate the parallel port.
NOTE 1: Look at back of computer for 9-pin or 25-pin connector slots. Most computers have ports mounted along the back left side of the unit. Parallel ports usually appear as a 25-pin female socket (often connected to a printer male connection), often below/beside a 9-pin male serial port connection.
NOTE 2: Refer to the manufacturers manual if further assistance is required in locating the parallel port.
3) Connect the scanner cable to the parallel port.
